The "plus" in the Gold Tone OB-250+ Orange Blossom Banjo is the ultra-premium JLS #12 tone ring developed by master caster Jim Stull. The JLS #12 ring is the result of years of analyzing many prewar tone rings. This long-skirt tone ring improves contact between neck, rim and tone ring, which increases transmission of energy from pot to neck. The Tony Pass/Schaefer birch block-style rim contributes to the powerful and nuanced tone of the Gold Tone OB-250+.
