The Gold Tone OB-3 "Twanger" pre-war style banjo is based on the 1929 RB-3 Gibson, a no-hole, fat rim, flathead banjo. The OB-3 Twanger" features parts that replicate the original RB-3, such as the no-hoe tone ring, shape of the headstock, neck and body, nickel plated hardware, slanted resonator walls, vintage inlay, Presto tailpiece, concentric resonator rings, and a brown mahogany finish. The Gold Tone OB-3 "Twanger" “no-hole” flathead tone ring helps to shape a truly classic bluegrass banjo tone-scape, with well-shaped tones. The OB-3 has no tonal artifacts; just a richly ringing sound.
